PREVIOUS WINNERS

Misi Boros:
“I had to show people my love for music on the show.”
The winner in the Kids age group in Season 1 and the emblematic pianist of Virtuosos. In the two and a half years since his appearance on the 2014 talent show, he played a total of 150 concerts in the United States, Asia and Europe. He had his first standalone concert, organized by Virtuosos, in the Palace of Arts in November 2016, a recording of which was released by Virtuosos Production.

Dániel Ali Lugosi
“All I could think of on the stage was, I was trying to convey something and I had to make sure my idea got through to the audience.”
The grand winner of Season 1, the Virtuoso of 2014. The then 15-year-old clarinet player was highly praised by the jury for, as they put it, giving every sound she played a birth and a death. Nowadays, Ali spends most of his time in Vienna, where he is studying at the Academy of Music and receives many invitations to concerts both in Hungary and abroad.

Ivett Gyöngyösi:
“If I were born a hundred times, I would become a pianist a hundred times. And if I have received the gift of talent, I had to give something back, so Virtuosos to me was also a mission.”
She was the winner in the Adults age group in Season 1 of Virtuosos. With a career starting out on the Faculty of Extraordinary Talents of the Music Academy, she has garnered a reputation both in Hungary and abroad. She has given standalone concerts at Liszt Ferenc Music Academy. She is currently a student at the Academy founded by world famous pianist Daniel Baremboim in Berlin.

Eszter Holozsai:
She finished number one in the Kids age group in Season 2. Hailing from Transcarpathia, this talented flutist has played numerous shows in Hungary and will be playing in front of an international audience in London’s Cadogan Hall this Fall.

Tamás Kökény:
The winner of Season 2, the Virtuoso of 2016. Following the show, the grand prize winning double bassis player has mezmerized audiences in Transylvania, Ravenna, Paris and Brussels, and has proven that a double bass can be an amazing solo instrument as well. This March, his concert in New York’s Carnegie Hall – one of the world’s most prestigious venues – sold out.

Gyuszi Váradi:
We met this talented violinist in Season 1, back then he made it to the semi-finals. A year and a half later, he tried again and this time he won the Adults age group. As a result, he was invited to play at the concert hall of the Berlin Philharmonics, and in August 2016, he performed on stage with world famous opera singer Placido Domingo in Budapest.
