The Virtuosos classical talent show is back on air for the third time on public broadcaster. Contestants once again compete in three age groups – kids, teens and adults – and can show off their skills and talents in front of a jury of professionals.
The new season premiere of Virtuosos was aired on April 7. The auditions for the various age groups airs Fridays from April 14, with nine contestants selected at each show. Eventually, three kids, teens and adults will make it to the finals on May 26, where the winners in each age group are announced. And in the grand finale on June 2, the grand prize winner will be chosen by public votes, who will be the Virtuosos of 2017.
Besides the age group prizes, the grand prize and the award, contestants will have the chance to win many special prizes, concert offers, professional challenges, master courses and scholarships.
Hungary’s first classical talent show, Virtuosos had its debut in 2014. Unlike other traditional talent shows, the program particularly focuses on classical music education and discovering talents. Besides searching for musical talents, the mission of Virtuosos is to promote and popularize classical music with wider audiences.
