THE VIRTUOSOS MEET PLÁCIDO DOMINGO IN NEW YORK AFTER THEIR CONCERT

Thursday VIRTUOSOS concert in  New York has been a great success! Our patron, Placido Domingo visited the concert and afterwards the VIRTUOSOS team had a lovely dinner wit him and his family. Earlier this week the Maestro was conducting the Hungarian State Opera❤️ The VIRTUOSOS concert took place on the promenade of the prestigious David H. Koch Theater in Lincoln Center.
BREAKING NEWS! The 5th Zathureczky National Violin Competition took place this weekend at the Academy of Music in Budapest, and Teo Gertler, one of the youngest talents discovered in VIRTUOSOS Talent Show won numerous prizes! He was awarded 1st Prize, Special Prize, Hubay Society's Prize, the Anima band's Special Prize and Grand Prize of the Competition! It's hard to even list the many prizes that this little man has won during this competition! CONGRATULATIONS TEO! On November 8th, he will be performing with VIRTUOSOS in New York, at the magnificent Lincoln Arts Center!

After several succesful concerts on the most prestigious stages of North America, such as the Kravis Center and Adrienne Arsht Center for Performing Arts in Florida, the Walt Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles, Carnegie Hall and Avery Fisher Hall in New York, Roy Thomson Hall in Toronto Canada,  we will return to the country to fascinate the audience with the outstanding talent of our young virtuosos. The VIRTUOSOS concert will take place on the promenade of the prestigious David H. Koch Theater in Lincoln Center. (20 Lincoln Center Plaza, New York, NY) at 7:30 pm, Thursday, 8th November 2018. We hope you could join our supporter and shareholder, Maestro Plácido Domingo, whose favourite young virtuosos will be on stage: Amira and Mariam Abouzahra, Teo Gertler, Gyula Váradi (all violinists) Soma Balázs-Piri (piano) and Ali D. Lugosi (clarinet). This concert is part of a series of Hungarian cultural programs in New York. There will be 12 different cultural events: opera, ballett, classical music concert, exhibitions. The Hungarian Weeks kicked off this Tuesday with the USA premier of Erkel’s opera “Bánk Bán”. President of Hungary János Áder and his wife Anita Herczegh, patron of Virtuosos Talent Show attended the event. Congratulations to the Hungarian State Opera and Ballet on their succesful US tour, we can't wait to join them in a few days!
