On April 25, the Virtuosos 10th anniversary season officially launched – marking a special milestone in the history of Virtuosos.
The season’s opening event was a grand gala concert, perfectly reflecting the mission of our programme: supporting the professional growth of young talents through collaboration with world-famous stars.
The Virtuosos Charity Concert took place on October 21, 2024, at the magnificent Star Performing Arts Centre in Singapore. The performers were accompanied by Singapore’s Orchestra of the Music Makers, conducted by Peter Pejtsik.
During the concert, our young Virtuosos – Teo Gertler, Soma Balázs-Piri, the 2Harps duo (Valerij and Evelin Greblo), Dalma Németh, Ali Lugosi, and Odysseus Finkenberg – dazzled the audience with works by composers such as Brahms, Piazzolla, Liszt, and Hans Zimmer.
Naturally, our superstar jury members – Maestro Plácido Domingo, HAUSER, and Dimash Qudaibergen – also took the stage, performing iconic pieces from their repertoires.
The evening opened with an unforgettable performance by HAUSER, who electrified the audience with Hans Zimmer’s legendary Pirates of the Caribbean soundtrack, showcasing his breathtaking virtuosity and energy.
We also heard a touching rendition of Michael Jackson’s Heal the World performed by Dalma Németh, Evelin and Valerij Greblo, Ildikó Megyimórecz, and Dimash Qudaibergen, sending a heartfelt message of peace to the audience.
A special highlight was the emotional duet SOS d’un terrien en détresse performed by Dimash and HAUSER, as well as Dimash’s powerful solo performance of Queen’s iconic hit The Show Must Go On.
This piece, arranged by Apor Szüts, featured an extraordinary electric violin solo by conductor Peter Pejtsik, making it one of the night’s most memorable moments.
As a grand finale, Maestro Plácido Domingo and Ildikó Megyimórecz delivered a magical duet of Lippen schweigen from Franz Lehár’s beloved operetta, beautifully closing the evening.
