Star-studded finals make the 10th, anniversary season of Virtuosos a true celebration. Finalists from five countries bring to life some of the most iconic stories of classical music. On Friday, May 30, from 20:30 (CET) the best talents from three nations will take the stage, and on June 6, in the second part of the finals, viewers of Duna will witness a musical duel between the remaining two countries — followed by the announcement of the winners of this international talent show. Plácido Domingo and HAUSER are preparing a special joint performance, and the Croatian cellist will even surprise the audience by joining one of the young contestants on stage.
The anniversary season of Virtuosos has reached its grand finale. In two episodes — airing on May 30 and June 6 — the finalists will enchant the viewers of the anniversary season.
The young talents, who represent the future of classical music, will perform in front of a jury of world-renowned musicians. Returning jury members include Plácido Domingo, José Carreras, Dimash Qudaibergen and HAUSER, while three new judges — Ukrainian-American opera singer Yelena Dudochkin, tech entrepreneur Mikko Kodisoja and artist manager Veronica Bocelli — join the panel. The judges, acting as both mentors and inspirations, will evaluate the performances of the ten selected artists with sharp ears and big hearts.

The finalists will be accompanied by Concerto Budapest, with the orchestra’s concertmaster being none other than one of the show’s own discoveries, Amira Abouzahra. On May 30, the audience will witness a musical duel between the best from three countries, featuring instruments like harp, violin, flute, guitar, saxophone, and — much to HAUSER’s delight — cello. The Croatian star has long awaited a worthy successor, and was so impressed by 12-year-old Austrian finalist Dylan Russel — affectionately dubbed “mini HAUSER” — that he spontaneously joined him on stage during the semifinals, surprising the young virtuoso and the jury alike. Viewers will see HAUSER on stage once again when he and head judge Plácido Domingo perform the world-famous Bésame mucho as a special performance.

There will be another special collaboration in tonight’s show, HAUSER and Dimash performing Stranger.

The winners from Hungary, Austria, Montenegro, Serbia, and Slovenia will be announced in the season’s closing episode on June 6. Among the special prizes there are valuable porcelain violins, performance opportunities with the Hungarian Radio Orchestra, on HAUSER’s concert, on Andrea Bocelli’s concert as well as at Il Divo’s concert on June 25.
