Virtuosos and the Formula 1 – A Decade-Long Tradition

Take a journey back in time with some memorable Virtuosos moments at the Hungaroring! We’ve put together a selection of our favourite photos from the past 10 years. ❤️💙

In 2016, the Hungarian National Anthem was performed for the first time by the young talents of Virtuosos before the start of the Formula 1 Hungarian Grand Prix at the Hungaroring. Since then, this tradition has continued uninterrupted, with new generations of our outstanding young musicians taking centre stage year after year at one of the world’s greatest sporting events.

For them, this is not only a tremendous honour but also a once-in-a-lifetime experience: the opportunity to showcase their talent before tens of thousands of spectators at the circuit and millions of television viewers around the world.

And, of course, it is always a special experience to walk through the Formula 1 pit lane alongside world-renowned personalities such as Plácido Domingo and Ashton Kutcher, to meet the drivers, and to encounter the international professionals who keep Formula 1’s legendary ‘travelling circus’ running day after day.

Being part of one of the world’s most-watched sporting events and meeting Formula 1’s most celebrated drivers is a tremendous source of inspiration for our young artists. The connection between music and sport is timeless.

In 2017, the Formula 1 drivers signed a racing helmet for one of Virtuosos’ young violinists. Through a joint initiative by Hungaroring Sport Zrt. and Virtuosos, we raised funds to support the multiple sclerosis treatment of Anna Sofia Bonino.

For us, these moments are more than just memories—they are proof that music and sport convey the same values: excellence, passion, and the power of shared experiences.
